Key Criteria
- All school stakeholders are able to articulate the school’s vision for physical activity.
- Schools continue to develop and implement ‘active policies’ to support their vision and culture.
- Schools have robust mechanisms in place to monitor and evaluate that ‘active practice’ is being followed by all staff in line with key active policies.
- Schools have a long-term action plan in place so they are able to continue to drive positive culture.
- All school stakeholders demonstrate positive physical activity behaviour and are vocal advocates of physical activity and talk passionately about it and its benefits.
- Physical activity is included as part of every school day for all children through active learning and integrated purposeful movement.
- The school stakeholders understand the concept of physical literacy and embed the principles of this into the design of any physical activity, PE and sport opportunities they provide to their children.
